SquidGuard Filter Controls 3.0

To add new records:

- Select to edit domains (name.com), expressions (sports cars), or URLs (geocities.com/news/links.html)
- Choose either Trusted (Safe to view), or Untrusted (Banned).
- Click the Submit Data button

To erase/remove records:

- Select to edit domains, expressions or URLs.
- Choose either Trusted or Untrusted.
- Check the Remove Entry box.
- Click the Submit Data button.

To View records:

- Select domains, expressions or URLs that you want to view.
- Select either the Trusted or Untrusted option from the pull-down box.
- Click the View button.  This will display a list of records from the appropriate list.

 

IP Security Controls

To allow "Full Internet Access" to a specific IP address on your network:

- Choose the "Grant Full Access" bullet from the Access Control menu.
- Enter the IP Address in the "IP Address" box.
- Click the Submit Data button.

To remove an IP from the "Full Internet Access" database:

- Simply select the "Restrict Access" bullet from the Access Control menu.
- Enter the IP address that you wish to restrict/remove.
- Click the Submit Data button.

To view the list of IP addresses with unfiltered "Full Internet Access":

- Click the View button.

 

Blacklist Controls

To change the location of an HTTP blacklist file:

- Enter it in the window below.  This window will always show the current blacklist location.

As of January, 16, 2002 the current location for the squidguard blacklist is:

"http://ftp.ost.eltele.no/pub/www/proxy/squidGuard/contrib/blacklists.tar.gz"

 

View SquidGuard logs

In order to view the /var/log/squidGuard.log file:

- Click the "View Log" button.
