Regarding freedom of speech:

Freedom of speech is not applicable to a privately owned messageboard. The phrase "freedom of speech"
refers to censorship by the State, not a private institution. While the State cannot restrict your
right to say such-and-such (within reason, or course), that is not so with a private institution,
and rightfully so.

Resource Strategies owns this site, and has every right to restrict what is discussed here. One might not
necessarily agree with contribs.org's rules, but one must abide by them. One has the right to say whatever
one wants, but one cannot demand a microphone and podium from another for the purpose of speaking one's mind.

This is a privately owned and moderated contribs.org forum. As such, the administrators have set the
rules, determine when they are violated, and decide what corrective measures to take. So far, we have
never had to delete a non-spam post, but we reserve the right.

If you are unhappy with the direction that some part of the site is taking, you have choices:

* be happy anyway for all the other free things you get here
* email staff and make a positive suggestion (we reserve the right to say no)
* find another website you like better
* start your own website

Choose an option above (or another reasonable one you can think of), but please don't just complain unless you
have a suggestion for a solution to the problem that you see.

We only have a few basic policies:

    * Rule #1 - contribs.org is a positive place.
    * Posts should deal with the SME Server and related issues.
    * Keep it friendly, in the spirit of community.
    * No foul language is allowed
    * No bashing of Microsoft, SCO, Linux companies, etc.
    * Spirited debate is welcomed, attacks are not.
    * Constructive criticism is welcomed. See above.

If you have any questions about these policies, e-mail staff@contribs.org.

Please abide by these standards. It will make for a more pleasant experience all around.
